Yellow Hair!
See that yellow second from the right? That is not what we are looking for when we bleach your hair. Even if you are a natural blonde your hair can pick up minerals from water and become what Mary insists upon calling "Sassy Brassy Locks". And, if you have a head full of VERY LIGHT BLONDE (read white) hair, the same advice applies.
What can you do?
First, get your hair squeaky clean. Mary suggests the grapefruit enriched goodness of Kenra's Clarifying Shampoo. It is safe for colored hair and works well for swimmers and folks in hard water areas. The next step is to, as we say in the biz, deposit some color onto the hair. According to Mary, the opposite of brassy is purple. Who knew? So, if you put a little bit of purple in those "Sassy Brassy Locks" they become the truer blonde that is the goal. Of course, Mary has a favorite for that too. She is a little bossy but she is good at what she does. She suggests a great system from L'OREAL called Shine Blond that will carry you from purple loaded shampoo through conditioner and right into a leave-in that will assist your other styling products. We think Mary is using it herself but she swears her hair color is naturally spectacular.
